- Amstel Inter-Continental Hotel – Elisabeth Taylor, Marlene Dietrich, Tina Turner, Mick Jagger, Audrey Hepburn, Roger Moore, Madonna, Brad Pitt, George Clooney all woke up with a hangover in this place. It’s on the list of top 100 hotels in the world. The Royal suite is 5000 euro a night, but they make you for 1k in a normal room. I only did breakfast once. and i’m still paying for those bacon & eggs.
- Krasnapoliski – Not sure whether it’s the best in town – it’s not, the Amstel is – but it’s certainly on the most remarkable spot. Damsquare. Nice ….
- The Grand – If you wanna show your baby to the world like Michal did, this is your address. Almost in the middle of the red light district is the hotel Michal – king of pop – Jackson always stayed. Go figure.
- L’Europe – Just quality. Nice location, beautiful building, not too flamboyant but just plain chic. They owner invest quite a bit in social projects in the city. And his son used to bully me in high school.
- Pulitzer – If you like aristocratic chic – complete with high tea, old-fashioned dinners at candlelight on channelboats and cognac and cigars on chesterfields couches, this is your best option. Think Titanic but without Kate. Maybe Kate’s Mother.
